Sport connects. This is what makes it such a suitable instrument for manipulating the masses. But this requires special types of champions and sporting heroes. The Nazis in particular liked to adorn themselves with favourites of the public and misused the athletes of their time as idols. Victory for the evil? Is that possible without being guilty? Athletes are faced with a difficult choice: make a pact with evil - or keeping their distance?
