At first glance, the Krause's seem to be a normal family, but father Dieter Krause is a little too pedantic in his duties as janitor, making life difficult for the residents. His wife Lisbeth and their uncontrollable children Carmen and Tommie also contribute to the chaotic family life. The only fulfilment Krause has left is his beloved dachshund, Bodo, and the dachshund club he runs.
